Why? I would love to tell you this great story about my superior mind, and that the "old guys" could just tell I was going to be a great investigator. But that would be a lie......
The truth is I was.....crazy behind behind a steering wheel and the "old guys" were having trouble following the subject of an investigation. The story they told me was one of the investigators said, "......the only idiot I have ever seen drive a car in this crazy way was a kid that once ran from me......" After a little discussion someone suggested they hire "the kid" (me). And that is how it all started.....
In 1988 I made $10 per hour, given a rental car and told the prosecutor would take care of any tickets that came my way......
Turns out I was pretty good and a fast learner. By the summer of 1993 I had done some impressive things, having worked on several cases for the attorney general's office. The easiest thing to say is this.....I have seen some bad stuff, and as a result I have trust issues.
The BS you encounter in life hardens you to the world.... Hmm, is that true?.....let me say it another way. Life will either harden you.... or you will forever be a victim. Another way to say it is - ".....Game recognizes game!" or ".....BS knows BS......" or maybe you would prefer - "....You can't Con a Con......"
Regardless of how you say I saw trouble in 2008, or should I say it was clear to me a dangerous politician was developing in the state of Missouri by the name of Eric Greitens. Any trained person, hmm am I trained (well of course I am) but at what........ Trained Investigator, very much so. In 1994 the feds reviewed a case I did for the attorney general and said, ".....it was the best case they had ever seen outside the bureau. But, I also knew my way around the Con world primarily by investigating Cons...... Ok, ok.....got side tracked there bragging about myself..... But I could tell back in 2008 Eric Greitens was going to be a political force to be dealt with in the future.
In 2008 I felt Greitens would be a presidential candidate by 2020 and maybe by 2016..... It was clear to me Greitens had game, but would he be a problem..... It gave me flashbacks to 1992.
During the first part of 1992 I was paid to investigate 28 women in Arkansas that certain people felt could damage Bill Clinton's white house run..... I predicted Clinton would never be president, I had turned up too much stuff for him to ever get elected..... clearly I was wrong.
Then in 2008 everything I knew and saw coming out told me the Greitens camp was Little Rock 2.0...........
That is why 10 years ago today, before he was ever elected the governor of Missouri I made a Facebook post questioning how it was possible he was fooling so many people??? 2016 was well before I shared my "Story times".... but I dropped a big tip (see pic)
Why my Greitens post should have set off alarm whistles and bells back in 2016.... if you know me I seldom say bad things about the GOP. But I chose to break one of Ronald Reagan's Rules (Never say anything bad about another Republican). If that did not warn you of my concerns,...... then investigations may not be your field.
.......18 years since I first saw the problem, 10 years since I publicly told the world......Let me just say it again - I TOLD YOU SO!!!!!
