In 1776 very few people believed the American experiment would succeed, and a large percentage of our own population wanted to remain loyal to the king. Neighbors turned against neighbors, brothers found themselves on different sides of the conflict and both sides claimed the moral high ground in a series of fights that would ultimately formed the greatest nation on earth.
Less than a century later blood would once again stain the same soil as opinions varied so much brothers were willing to kill brothers to win the fight. Looking back I only wish Americans remembered their history....
Everyone (well.....I have seen to many videos online to realize that not everyone knows what we are about to discuss......) knows the year 1776, but very few Americans realize it was actually in the 1750's patriots wanted to turn on the crown and form a new country.
An argument so deeply rooted across the land it took 25 years to come to a head. Remember those pesky teenage pimples, you could feel them growing deep inside your chin for days...maybe weeks before they manage to breach the skin providing ugliness for the world to see...... And like a pimple a little blood must be spread before the issue concludes. Of course the problem only goes away when you apply pressure, squeezing here, massaging there.... or maybe just throwing money at the problem hoping it goes away.
Now think about this nation today, consider how the hatred for one man can drive a few of your family and friends to the boiling point. And those are people you like.....the nut-jobs those insane folks whom lack the ability to reason, their hair is blue and they publicly celebrate the death of those politically apposed to them, well.....those folks quickly reach an level of hatred and anger that permits them to justify horrible acts......
Does the actions of a few blue-haired individuals shock you? Have you read the history of this nation? Abe Lincoln was elected president in 1860 and before he could take office states began talking about leaving the United Sates. Here my words, it was not just people, but entire states....millions of people ready to destroy the Republic because of their fear of what just one man might do.................... Sound familiar? I have to wonder, .....are we headed down that path today?
It was the year 2000 when I first noticed the way political fights play out began to change. I am old enough to remember the decorum between Ronald Reagan and Tip O'Neil...... Two men that politically were a million miles apart, men that could argue about any topic with a passion only exceeded by the love a great woman (This is where I think about my wife, today she scurried around the kitchen in just a t-shirt and panties..... whoops got distracted.) The point is, no matter how apposed Reagan and O'Neil were in their political ideology they were civil to one another and often shared a meal discussing a path forward.
Clinton was not afforded the same discretion by the press like presidents that came before him, (JFK's many affairs is a prime example). Direct attacks on his character took place, it was as if people no longer respected the office or any man that held power. Democrats and their followers seldom chose the high road in their attacks on George W. Bush and likewise the right came after president Obama and his wife "Mike."........ (See what I did there.....?)
A huge pimple is growing under the surface of America. So large is the issue a little blood (Charlie Kirk) has already been spilled but the infection still grows. If you hair is blue just sit down, yes I can hear your keyboard banging out Renee Nicole Good and Alex Pretti, and those in complete delusion land adding George Floyd too.
For a nation that spends millions, no....billions on education we have somehow managed to produce a crop of citizens that lack extensive knowledge about our nation's politics and even what they personally believe and why!
Are you a Democrat? - Why? (This is when you go to Facebook and answer this question..... show us how smart you are)
Are you a Republican? Why? This is where you prove you read the sentence above.......
Are you something else? Why? This is where...... well, hell this is when and where you prove people are willing to argue with anyone over the dumbest shit with no hope of winning or improving the world, but doing so just because it's your God given right (Even if you argue God is a fairytale)
Being a Democrat or a Republican because Grandpa was one is only surpassed in ignorance by those that let Taylor Swift influence your opinion of whom is most qualified to lead this nation.
So, at this time explain why your party's platform has earned your respect and support. Or tell my why no party has your support and why you vote the way you do. This is important, we need to pop the pimple growing deep in America's chin before another "Charlie" has to die for no reason!
