I am not a trusting person.... in my younger days I had my fair share of emotional pain. Physical injuries heal,....but sometimes they leave scars upon your body as a constant reminder. Injuries of the heart are harder to spot....but the scars they leave may never fully heal. I have some of those...
Am I a vengeful person..... Do you really need to ask? I am going to get mine.....it may take decades....but trust me when I say our issues will be revisited. However,.....I would not necessarily call it revenge or even vengeful.... to me it's more of a debt being paid.
What about you?.... The Christian way is to forgive, and clearly as a man of religion this a clear example of one of my shortcomings.....
This essay took the long way to get to my point...... Do you know why St. Louis has such a large population of Bosnians?
In the early 1990's Christians in Bosnia slaughtered thousands of Muslim men and boys.... In an effort to help the United States government relocated 70,000 Bosnian Muslims to St. Louis..... in the years since the Bosnian Muslim population has grown to over 100,000 in the St. Louis area.
St. Louis has a huge Catholic population in fact, it has been called the Rome of the West - led in numbers by Catholics St. Louis is primarily a Christian city.... So, why would we accept 100,000 Muslims into our communities when they have clear reasons to hate Christians and at the very least reasons to not trust us.....
If I was a Bosnian Muslim, could I have forgiven Christians? Not a chance in hell. But hey, maybe they are better people than me..... or maybe we moved in 100,000 potential threats to worry about......
The reasons to know history.... and to understand that every action has consequences have never been more important. Are you aware how Muslim immigrants into Great Britian and France have altered those nations? The fact that so many Americans have very little working knowledge of world history or current events.... and even less understanding about religion may mean the very future of this great nation is in danger. Make no mistake about it, not everyone will turn the other cheek........ and at some point, in the future the United States may see battles that make the Crusades seem like child's play..... I just hope we haven't welcomed our enemies with open arms.....
